We still use the land line, for Mom, Father-in-law and business, most of the calls are telephone scams and you can’t filter them out like on your cell phone. As a result we rarely pick up the phone but occasionally check the call display, should I recognize the number I will pick up.

Congratulations on the book.
I am looking forward to catching up with whjat you have been doing for the last few years. I am coming to Victoria on January 29 or 30 for a Conference and wondering if you will be available for a visit from a long lost Saskatchewan based family friend.

Salutations Rebecca: How wonderful that you chose to generate this fabulous book. It brings to my mind — my own first days as a newcomer to Victoria. One day in February 1977…I hadn’t achieved the job postings desired…I sat down, in a blue mood, on a bench on the lower Inner Harbour…and at that bench, a live sea lion sniffed at my foot and was staring back up at me…my mood lifted 150%…benches in Victoria can be quite magical at times…Bravo for your inspiration! I returned to job applications and got a job posting that very afternoon. It is good to sit down on a bench for a while. Shelley.
