This native tree has been cut many times and is being cut over old scars, so it doesn't yeild as much. Each new cut each day takes off a small strip maybe 3mm wide which will cause the tree to blead latex which runs down the 45 degree cut out over a leaf that is inserted into the bark to make the latex drip into a half of a coconut shell.
